Privacy Policies
The personal information is required for quality control purposes only and will not be given to other parties. The one exception is that instructors have access to the accounts of any student who joins their class.
The NBGE will only send emails with pertinent information about the exam like passwords, results, and current rankings. The NBGE does not give email addresses to other parties. However, the exam does provide links for students and their instructors to email each other.
With the exception of the yearly national honors winners, the NBGE does not disclose individual scores without the permission of the examinee.
Scores are kept on record in order to provide the examinee with an end of the year final ranking and for other broad types of statistical research (e.g., broad trends in biblical Greek knowledge and interest).
Terms and Conditions
The NBGE claims full protection by copyright for exam process, content, and results. All rights reserved.
Unauthorized use of any information derived from any part of NBGE is forbidden.
Inappropriate use of any features in any accounts (e.g., inappropriate language or subject matter) may result in the deletion of the account and expulsion from the site.
By creating an instructor account, instructors grant all rights to any questions they create in their custom question database. Custom questions may be modified or deleted if they are deemed inappropriate. The NBGE will not modify questions within an instructor's custom question database, but may choose to use copies of them or modifications of them in the National Exam or for other purposes such as inclusion in the national database of questions.
NBGE questions and website shall not be reproduced, modified or redistributed in any form or by any means.
NBGE may contact the school of any class to confirm a class roster. If such data cannot be confirmed, the class may not be eligible for national honors until the instructor is able to sufficiently confirm the data.
Disclaimers
The NBGE cannot make any claims or promises as to how different schools, individuals, or accrediting institutions will value the exam. Passing the exam does not bind any educational institution, educator, or accrediting institution to grant any credit for the exam. Such entities make their own individual policies in these matters.
As with any non secure exchanges on the internet information may be seen by mischievous third parties. The NBGE does not knowingly disclose information to third parties and cannot be held responsible for their actions.
The NBGE cannot be held responsible for forgeries of exam or class ranking and/or certificates. With the examinee's consent, a third party such as school may verify a student's performance.
The NBGE does not guarantee that every computer is compatible with the exam. It is the examinee's responsibility to make sure his computer is compatible with the exam.
The NBGE disclaims all expressed and implied warrantees and makes no representations.
The NBGE is not responsible for any direct, indirect, consequential, incidental damages of any kind whatsoever with respect to the exam service.
Exam Arbitration
The NBGE has a process by which examinees may review every answer that exam marked incorrect. Examinees may comment on or challenge the grading or the fairness of the question.
All challenges are settled by the exam administrator.
If the challenge is sustained, the examinee will receive an amended ranking (receiving credit for the challenged question) and the examinee's record will reflect the amendment.
If the challenge is denied, the examinee will receive an email with such notification. All decisions are final and not subject to appeal.
The NBGE will not refund payment. Examinees are encouraged to retake the exam as often as they wish for a reduced price.
If an examinee or proctor must pursue arbitration beyond what is listed above, the elders of Trinity Reformed Church, Moscow, Idaho will serve as the final arbiter.
In the event that legal action is taken, the NBGE declares the choice of law to be Idaho State law and the venue to be Latah County, Idaho.
